Much has happened since we were last able to invite our members to a League of Friends AGM, but with the situation regarding COVID seemingly improving, we are delighted to have the opportunity to meet in person once again. The League of Friends hope to see many of you at the AGM on the 25th August. Due to ongoing COVID restrictions we are limited to only 32 places, so please advise the office should you wish to attend.

We are in the proccess of updating our membership records and members should receive (either by post or email) a membership slip. We would be pleased if you would kindly confirm your continuing membership by completing and returning the slip enclosed. A donation, with a gift aid confirmation if that is possible, will be gratefully accepted. If you do not receive these forms please accept our sincere apologies and contact Chris at the office, and your name and details will be updated.

At the request of the hospital authorities , our Coffee Shop closed in March 2020 and remained closed until April this year. The sale of books, jigsaws and knitting and also the flower displays, were also suspended and some have yet to be reinstated. However, during this period, the work of the League has continued and we have been able to meet several requests from hospital departments. These include support for the staff who have worked so hard during the pandemic, the Dementia Team who have looked after those patients who have been particuarly affected by being separated from those familiar to them, and the donation of an Ultra Sound Machine to the Anaesthetics Department to assist in the accurate placing of a spinal block during hip and kneee replacements.

Without your support, we would not be able to meet these requests and we would like to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for all you have done.
